LOU CORREA AND TOM DALY TRADE ENDORSEMENTS IN TWO KEY ORANGE COUNTY RACES

Two former Anaheim High School Colonists continue to "work together" on behalf of Central Orange County families

Anaheim, CA -  Former State Senator Lou Correa and Assemblymember Tom Daly agreed to endorse each other in their respective races today, providing big name endorsements for both heading into the June 7th Primary Election. Assemblymember Tom Daly will be running for re-election in the 69th District and Senator Lou Correa is running for congress in the open 46th Congressional District, currently being vacated by Loretta Sanchez, who is running for U.S Senate.

As elected officials, both have worked to ensure that Orange County continues to be a great place to raise a family. Both Correa and Daly have never forgotten where they came from and why their families came to Orange County, in pursuit of the American Dream. As elected Democrats, both Correa and Daly have earned the reputation of working across the aisle, with both Democrats and Republicans to deliver results for Orange County families.  

"Lou Correa is a true son of Anaheim," Daly said. "Whether it's been his work to improve local schools or clean up our streets, Senator Correa has always been a tireless advocate for our community. He has the experience we need in congress and I am proud to stand with him today."

In endorsing Assemblymember Daly for re-election, Correa stated, "Tom has been my friend for over forty years.  We grew up in Central Orange County and share the same passion to work hard for our constituents, many of whom we grew up with. Orange County families can count on Tom to fight for them in Sacramento." 

Correa served in the California State Senate, representing the 34th District, from 2006- 2014 and served the cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster. Prior to the Senate, he served on the Orange County Board of Supervisors representing the 1st District. Before his time on the Board, Correa served in the California State Assembly representing the 69th District.

Daly has served in the State Assembly since 2012 representing the 69th Assembly District which includes which includes Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange and Santa Ana. Before that he served as the Orange County Clerk-Recorder and the directly elected mayor of Anaheim from 1992-2002.
