Orange County Labor Federation Endorses Correa for Congress

SANTA ANA, CA -- Keeping up his string of back-to-back endorsements, today former State Senator Lou Correa's campaign for California's 46th Congressional District seat announced an endorsement from the Orange County Labor Federation.
According to its website, "The Orange County Labor Federation represents more than ninety local unions from every sector of the labor movement with a membership of more than 200,000 working men and women. The Orange County Labor Federation strives to better the lives of all workers. Chartered in 1929 by the AFL-CIO, the Federation is the official regional body that brings together unions from different sectors to fight for descent wages, safe working conditions, strong communities and upward mobility for our communities."
Upon learning of the endorsement, former State Senator Lou Correa remarked:
"It's really gratifying to have the support of Orange County's working men and women. Throughout my career, in local and state office and in this campaign for Congress, I've advocated for working families, pushing for more high paying jobs, and a thriving middle class economy. I'm honored to have the endorsement of the Orange County Labor Federation."
Today's endorsement follows yesterday's news that House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer endorsed Correa for Congress.
In the June 7th Primary Election, former Senator Correa was the top vote getter, capturing over 40,880 votes and 43.7% of the total votes cast. Combined, Correa's votes equal almost three times as much as the second place finisher.
Today's announcement follows recent endorsements from Rancho Santiago Community College Board of Trustees Nelida Mendoza Yanez and Lawrence R. “Larry” Labrado, California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 441, California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon, former Chair of the Orange County Democratic Party Frank Barbaro, Orange County Deputy Sheriffs Association, Latino Victory Fund and California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, State Assemblyman Tom Daly and the Garden Grove Police Officers Association.
