California's High-Powered Speaker Anthony Rendon Backs Lou Correa for Congress
SANTA ANA, CA - Today former California State Senator Lou Correa earned a landmark endorsement from California State Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon in his campaign to represent California's 46th Congressional District seat.
In announcing his support of Correa, Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon released the following statement:
"I'm pleased to endorse former Senator Lou Correa for Congress. Lou is a dedicated consensus builder who knows how to bring people together to solve problems and gets things done. That's exactly what we need more of in Washington-- less gridlock, more deliverables and more problem-solving. I believe Lou Correa is the best candidate to represent California's 46th District in Congress. I'm with Lou all the way."
Senator Correa’s margin of victory continues to expand. Lou’s lead is now 42.5% or 33,429 votes, which is greater than the vote total of the next three candidates combined (40.7%, 31,996). Correa’slead is certain to grow with more than 100,000 ballots left to be counted in all of Orange Countywide.
Today's announcement follows recent endorsements from the Former Chair of the Orange County Democratic Party Frank Barbaro, Orange County Deputy Sheriffs Association, Latino Victory Fund and California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, State Assemblyman Tom Daly and the Garden Grove Police Officers Association.
